Why 7 Semicolon Couture?

Our founder created this space after enduring deep personal loss—her baby brother, her grandfather, and a close friend all lost to suicide. In 2011, she also survived a suicide attempt herself. These experiences shaped a new purpose: to turn pain into power and to build a brand that supports others on their journey.

What Does the Name Mean?

The name 7 Semicolon Couture is deeply personal.

  • The semicolon ( ; ) has become a symbol of strength in mental health awareness—used when a sentence could have ended but didn’t. It represents our belief that your story isn’t over.

  • The number 7 honors the founder’s baby brother, who was the 7th of 10 siblings and born in July. His life and legacy are woven into everything we do.
